PeekVio (the "Application", "Company", "we", "us", "our") is a personal inventory management app. "You" means the individual or entity accessing or using the Application. "Service" refers to the Application. "Device" means any device that can access the Service. "Personal Data" is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. "Application Store" means Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
By creating an account or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service. You must be at least 13 years old, or older where the law of your country sets a higher age for agreeing to the use of your personal data (up to 16 in some EU countries). If you use PeekVio in India, you must be 18 or older.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen.
PeekVio offers an optional Pro subscription for advanced features. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Prices may vary by region and are displayed before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account settings. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law.
You agree not to: (a) misuse the Application or use it for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application; (c) upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others; (d) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; (e) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
PeekVio uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to analyze photos, identify items, estimate values, and suggest tags. Background removal is performed on your device and does not send image data to external servers. All AI outputs are automated estimates and may not be accurate. Do not rely solely on AI-generated valuations for insurance, legal, or financial decisions. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated information.
The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of the Company. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks may not be used without the prior written consent of the Company.
The Service is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Company does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. The Company's total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to the Company in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 USD, whichever is greater.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us.
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by the Company. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the Settings screen.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

We collect the following personal data to operate the Service: your email address (for account creation and communication); photos you upload (for item cataloging and AI analysis); voice notes you choose to record for an item; item names, descriptions, tags, and values you enter; usage data such as device type, operating system, and app interaction patterns; crash and diagnostic data (collected automatically by Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix problems). In the web panel, error data (the error, your browser type and your account ID) is collected by Sentry instead.
Your data is used solely to provide, maintain, and improve PeekVio. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Specifically: photos are sent to Google Gemini for AI item recognition and value estimation; background removal is performed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit and does not transmit image data externally; voice notes are stored in Firebase Storage with your inventory and are not sent to AI services; when you scan a barcode, only the barcode number is sent to look up the book or product; usage data, linked to your account ID but not to your name or email address, is exported to Google BigQuery for analytics. If you share spaces or boxes, the people you invite see only those spaces and boxes and the items in them, and their values and totals only if you allow it. Editors can add and change things; viewers can only look. Invitations go from your own email app or as a link and show who is inviting and what is shared. You can remove someone at any time in Sharing.
Your data is stored as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Delete Account. Without the app, email support@peekvio.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete your account and its data within 30 days. Deletion is permanent and irreversible - all your inventory data, photos, and personal information will be removed from our servers. Copies kept in our backups, which we use only to restore the Service after a failure, are erased automatically: database records within 98 days, and photos and voice notes within 31 days. Crash and error reports are kept for up to 90 days, and usage analytics linked to your account for up to 14 months. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you for analytical purposes.
PeekVio uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy: Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, cloud storage, analytics, and Crashlytics crash reporting; Google Gemini for AI-powered image analysis and item recognition; Google ML Kit for on-device background removal (data stays on your device); Google BigQuery for usage analytics; RevenueCat for subscription and purchase management; Google (Gmail) for email notifications (e.g. welcome messages and reminders); Open Library, Google Books, WorldCat, and UPCitemdb to look up a scanned barcode (only the barcode number is sent). In the web panel, error reports go to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), stored in the United States.
Your information may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States (where Firebase and other Google services are hosted). We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; data portability; withdraw consent at any time; lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@peekvio.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud), and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
PeekVio is not intended for children under 13, or under the age your country sets for agreeing to the use of personal data if it is higher (up to 16 in some EU countries, and 18 in India). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@peekvio.com and we will promptly delete such information.
The PeekVio mobile application does not use cookies. We use Firebase Analytics to collect usage data, linked to your account ID but not to your name or email address, to improve the Service. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the app is used; you can object at any time by emailing support@peekvio.com. Firebase Analytics also derives an approximate location (country and region) from your device's IP address; your precise location is never collected, and location data in photos is removed before upload. We do not collect your device's advertising ID.
